Mason and Ty turn 4 and 3!
Well it has been a very long time since my last post because like I said when I started "I am busy and don't have time". Mason turned 4 on Tuesday and Ty turns 3 tomorrow and so we had their birthday party today. Thanks to a lot of work and help from my twin sister Chalease and her husband Matt it was a HUGE success! We had it at their home and the kids had a lot of fun. We had a bounce house from my sister Leesa and her husband Kevin's party rental store, sno cones and swimming. What more could you ask for on a hot summer day in Texas! Here are some pictures to enjoy!

Easter Hunt!!!
Every year we get to have a fun Easter party/hunt at The Bell Family Farm. Liz and Jim Bell go to church with us and live on a lot of land and open their home to our ward family many times a year. The boys love going there to play and ride on the train. Here are some pictures from the day.

PROUD!

For all of us parents out there and all of the potty experiences that we get to go through..... Ty had a pretty great poop one day! It was so funny that I had to take a picture and text it to Kenneth, but I won't post it in case it would gross any of you out, but here is the picture of Ty after the fact.

Life is too short
I just got home from visiting a man that was once married to my mother before she passed away. Three weeks ago he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was given 6 months to a year to live. It just makes me appreciate my good health and having lots of family and friends around. He is 77 years old and it is just so sad to live that long and then have to die from such a horrible cancer. Pancreatic cancer is ugly. He has lost 50 lbs in 1 1/2 months. He is a great man and it just made me think what would I want to do with my life if I was only given 6 to 12 months to live. It makes me want to be a better person and to live life to its fullest. I know that you are all thinking, why post such a sad thing, but I felt like Gordon Strickland is worth posting about. He truly loved my mom and if she were still here, she would want everyone to know that he is a great person and someone who doesn't deserve to have to suffer and die from this dreadful disease. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. I know that he won't be rid of the cancer, but hopefully the prayers will add comfort and less pain in his last months of his life.

Trying to be creative!
Well I figure that I would try and change by background to be a cute one like a lot of you have. Well I tried it and it worked. Hopefully it isn't too hard to read with the colors that I picked out. It is our spring break this week and Cole has been bored. So his best friend that moved 1 1/2 hours away came over today to spend the next 2 days with us. That should help Cole be a little bit happier. It is amazing all of the things that kids can have these days and they still can say that they are bored. Who would have thought? It has been cold and wet since yesterday and will be for the next several days. So it is a great time to get things done in the house. I have big hopes to get some projects done that I have been putting off. Wish me luck. Here are some recent pictures. Enjoy!

Cole had his birthday party at the Discovery Science Place in Tyler and they made green slime. Sam's Club didn't do a very good "slime" on the cake, oh well! The kids had a lot of fun. That is all that matters, right?

Mason and Ty had fun playing at the party. There are lots of cool things to do here.

Cole's Baptism
Well I am way past due on blogging this event, but hey a month later and it still happened and no one has seen pictures, so I am guessing I am okay to still post it.
It was a great day. We had a huge turn out. It was in the Relief Society room and there were not enough seats and people were standing at the door. It is a great feeling to know that we have so many friends here in Texas. It helps having a great kid like Cole is has a lot of friends as well. Enjoy the pictures!

I'm still here!

Well it has been almost a month since my last post. Life has been crazy busy. Cole turns 8 on Sunday and will be baptized. I can't believe our oldest son is about to be baptized. It just seems that he was born yesterday. The years just are flying by. We finally got Ty's hair cut. It was torture, but we got it done!!! Mason is growing up so fast and really likes to play with Cole these days. Here are some recent pictures to enjoy!
